Important Information about Herceptin

Herceptin, also sold by the chemical name of trastuzumab is known to treat HER-2 positive breast cancer. The treatment option is preferred either in early stage or advanced-stage/metastatic. The chemical has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. It has received approval: To treat metastatic HER-2 positive breast cancer so that it can stop the growth of cancerous cells To treat earlier stages of HER-2 positive breast cancer along with chemotherapy, or even alone after chemotherapy regimen that also includes an anthracycline. Herein, it is used to reduce the chances of recurrence of cancerous cells. To be used in combination with pertuzumab or Perjeta and docetaxel or Taxotere before surgery to treat HER-2 positive cancer, early-stage cancer (in case the cancer is larger than 2 cm or it is the lymph nodes), inflammatory, locally advanced-stage breast cancer with the higher chances of becoming fatal. For use in combination with Perjeta and chemotherapy after surgery for
